Medical director and physician executive compensation
A leadership title does not define the work by itself. We evaluate the role’s responsibilities, required qualifications, time commitment, and relationship to any other compensated duties.
Medical directorships
The analysis begins with the administrative services and expected hours. Specialty-specific opportunity cost and relevant medical-director market evidence may inform the compensation analysis, depending on the duties and available data.
Physician executives
Chief medical officer and other executive roles may require comparison with relevant executive positions and organizations. Salary, incentives, equity, and other compensation components are considered where included in the arrangement.
Academic and combined roles
Department chairs, division chiefs, and program leaders may have clinical, teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities. We identify the duties and time allocation supporting each component and examine the resulting total compensation.
Define the deliverable
The engagement may require an hourly rate, annual compensation range, review of a proposed package, or a schedule covering several roles. The scope identifies which conclusions are needed and the information supporting them.
