Some decisions require analysis before the final arrangement is defined. We help clients examine financial assumptions, compare proposed structures, and understand questions raised by existing valuation work.
Acquisition diligence and financial scenarios
We can assess supplied financial and operating information, normalize relevant revenue and expenses, examine proposed assumptions, and identify outstanding information. Scenario work can address changes in compensation, ownership, staffing, reimbursement, or operating structure.
Compensation policies and arrangement reviews
Advisory work may include compensation-plan testing, provider outlier screening, role and specialty research, agreement inventories, and analysis of proposed payment changes. The scope specifies whether the assignment involves preliminary advice, policy development, or a formal opinion.
Appraisal and methodology review
We examine the scope, assumptions, methods, and supporting analysis in an existing appraisal. Findings can help clients and their advisors identify issues that need clarification or further work.
Commercial reasonableness assessments
A separately scoped assessment can examine an arrangement’s business purpose, operating need, responsibilities, and service alternatives. This addresses a different question from the amount of the payment.
