Call coverage and clinical service subsidies
Coverage arrangements must be understood in terms of the service commitment: where coverage is needed, when it must be available, what activity it requires, and who retains the associated collections.
On-call arrangements
We examine the specialty, covered facilities, schedule, response obligations, and expected clinical burden. The analysis considers the relationship between availability, services performed, and the proposed payment.
Anesthesia and clinical staffing
Coverage models may require room-level or service-location schedules, weekday and weekend requirements, physician and CRNA staffing, compensation, benefits, and overhead. Collections attributable to the covered activity are considered in the support-payment analysis.
Radiology and other service lines
The appropriate analysis may combine productivity and coverage requirements. Diagnostic and interventional work, facility-specific collections, and differences in staffing obligations can materially affect the model.
Assess the proposed service model
Changes in operating hours, sites, staffing, or collection responsibilities may change the payment being evaluated. We can assess defined alternatives and explain which assumptions drive the differences.
